Explainers & comparisons
Why a show became a phenomenon, what a character’s choice really meant, and the head-to-heads fans actually argue about.
Explainers are written by the desk and re-checked against the primary source whenever the mechanism they describe changes — season structures, licensing, production committees, release economics. Numbers carry dates, mechanisms carry sources, and anything that is judgement rather than fact is labelled as such. When the desk gets something wrong, the correction runs on the page that made the error and is logged at the corrections desk.
