The rules BRYME holds itself to: where information comes from, who writes it, when it was checked, and what BRYME will never claim.
Who publishes BRYME
BRYME is an independent writing resource run by Ibrahim Sodiq from Lagos, Nigeria. There is no parent company, no investor and no sponsor directing what is published. Where BRYME writes about a publication, BRYME has no commercial relationship with it unless that is stated on the page.
Where opportunity information comes from
Every publication record is built from the publication's own submission guideline — not from an aggregator, a screenshot, a mailing list or another blog's summary. Each record links to that official source so you can check it yourself.
Where a detail is not stated in the guideline, BRYME records it as not stated. BRYME does not fill gaps with estimates. If a publication does not publish a rate, the page will not invent one.
How verification works
Verification means a human at BRYME opened the official guideline and compared it, line by line, against the record. The month of that check appears on the page as “Last verified”.
It is shown to the month, not the day, because that is the honest resolution: a guideline can change the day after any check. That is exactly why every record links to the original.

Firsthand experience is labelled separately
BRYME separates two things that are often blurred elsewhere: what the guideline says, and what happened when BRYME actually submitted.
Where BRYME has personally pitched a publication, the page shows the journey step by step — submitted, responded, accepted, published, paid. Payment is only ever marked confirmed once the money has actually arrived. A promise of payment is not payment.
Where BRYME has not submitted, the page says Research only and makes no claim of experience.
Authorship and AI
Guides and records on BRYME are written and edited by a human. BRYME does not mass-generate pages to fill a sitemap, and does not publish machine-written text as though a person researched it.
Where a tool assists with drafting, a human is responsible for every factual claim, every rate, every date and every link before it publishes. Responsibility for what appears here sits with the editor, not a tool.
Corrections
BRYME would rather be corrected than wrong. Material corrections — a wrong rate, a dead link, a market recorded as open when it had closed — are fixed and logged on the corrections page with the date.
Every publication page carries a Report an outdated listing link. You can also contact the desk directly.
Advertising and money
BRYME does not take payment from a publication in exchange for being listed, ranked higher, or described more favourably. No listing on this site has been paid for.
If display advertising is introduced, it will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content and will never be styled to resemble an opportunity card or a submission button. Reader experience stays primary.
What BRYME will never claim
- That an open submission window guarantees acceptance, publication or payment.
- That a publication pays a rate it has not published.
- That BRYME has been paid, before payment has arrived.
- That an opportunity belongs to BRYME when it belongs to the publication.
- That any writer will earn a specific amount.
