What BRYME collects, what it does not, and what runs in your browser.
The short version
BRYME does not ask you to create an account, does not ask for your name or email to read anything, and does not sell data. The writing tools run entirely inside your browser.
The tools never upload your writing
All 34 writing tools — the counters, the readability and passive-voice checkers, the PDF and document tools — process your text locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your draft is not transmitted to BRYME, not stored on a server, and not logged.
Close the tab and the text is gone. That is a consequence of how the tools are built, not a promise about how carefully a server is managed.
What is collected
Standard web-server request information (the page requested, timestamp, and technical details your browser sends such as user agent) may be recorded by the hosting provider for reliability and abuse prevention. BRYME does not combine this into a profile of you.
BRYME does not set advertising cookies. Advertising is currently disabled site-wide.
Third parties
BRYME deliberately loads no third-party fonts, scripts, trackers or embedded widgets. Every stylesheet and script on the site is served from BRYME's own domain — this is enforced by an automated check in the release process, which fails the build if a third-party resource appears.
Links out to publications are ordinary links. Once you follow one, that publication's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
Contacting the desk
If you email BRYME, your message and email address are used to answer you and, where relevant, to correct the site. They are not added to a mailing list.
Children
BRYME is a general-audience writing resource and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the change will be described on the corrections page rather than being made silently.
