How to find publications that pay writers

Finding publications that genuinely pay writers is about knowing where to look and how to filter out the ones that do not.
Start with BRYME's own research. The writing opportunities hub is built from checking publications' own guidelines — pay, words, eligibility and submission method.
Judge the pay, not the promise. Does the publication state a fee per piece or per word? Many are honest about this; ones that say “payment varies” with no range need more care. BRYME never invents a rate.
Read the guidelines page. This is the single most important step. It tells you the type of writing, the length, whether they want a pitch or the full piece, and their rights and AI policy.
Confirm it is current. Publications close and reopen. Check the date, or reach out. BRYME shows the last verified date on every page.
Keep records. Note the date you checked, the official URL, and what the guideline said. That is what makes verification possible.
