Subjects they avoid

• Writers outside US, UK, NZ, Ireland, Canada, Australia and South Africa (unless already published there).
• Sports, technology, or self-help / advice (official guide: almost never published).
• Personal or unverifiable material. Translations of existing foreign-language pages. Content farms / middle-men.
• Images (their editors add images). Illegal content. Plagiarism.
• Sending two or more lists in one day — they treat that as a sign you rushed.

Who can submit

Official submit page: only considering submissions from the US, UK, NZ, Ireland, Canada, Australia and South Africa, unless you are an existing published Listverse writer. They do not accept lists from outside those countries. Nigeria does not qualify.

Rights

On purchase: ownership, copyright and all other rights including moral rights transfer to Listverse Limited. They may edit. If rejected, rights stay with you.

7. Include 2–3 relevant clips or links.
8. Close professionally and thank them for their time.
9. Send through the official channel only.

What happens after submission

Expected response: Aim to accept or reject within 30 days

If the publication does not state a response time, BRYME records that it is unknown. A follow-up is generally reasonable after a couple of weeks; if there is still no response, treat that as a likely non-acceptance rather than a rejection. Acceptance is normally communicated by the publication. If they accept, they will tell you exactly how to submit the final piece and, for most, how and when payment is made.
