About this tool

How to use the freelance income tracker.

What it does. A private running ledger for your writing money: log every payment, invoice and pending fee, and it keeps the year's total, this month, your average per piece, and which clients actually pay (and how much of your income depends on each).

How to use it. After any payment lands - or you send an invoice - add the client, amount, date and status. Export to CSV whenever you want a backup or your accountant's favourite file. Everything stays in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Why it matters. Writers who track every payment spot the patterns that change businesses: which client is quietly becoming 60% of your income, which months run thin, and exactly how much to set aside before tax. What gets measured gets negotiated.
