About this tool

How to use the line break cleaner.

What it does. Removes empty lines so wrapped paragraphs join cleanly - built for text pasted from PDFs and forms where blank lines multiply.

How to use it. Paste the text and the tool strips the blank lines between wrapped lines; copy the result back into your editor. Run remove-extra-spaces first if the text also carries doubled spaces.

Why it matters. A PDF paste with a blank line every forty characters is unusable in any editor. One pass here turns it back into prose you can actually work with.

Your data. The tool runs entirely in your browser - text you paste never leaves the page, and nothing is uploaded to a server.

Good to know

This removes empty lines only - the breaks inside paragraphs stay. For text where every line ends in a hard wrap with no blank lines, remove-extra-spaces plus a find-and-replace in your editor finishes the job.

Where this fits

Formatting tools are the honest kind of tidy: they change nothing you said, only how it is carried. Run them before proofreading, not after - there is no sense polishing text a cleanup pass is about to reshape, and a clean base makes every later check mean what it says.
